Joint Workshop on Precision Sensing
The International Institute for Biosensing (IIB) hosted a workshop on September 24-26, 2024 to further collaboration between the University of Minnesota and the University of Kiel, with a focus on precision sensing. The workshop was held on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. The event included a student poster session, breakout sessions, and visits to the WinterTurf project, the Minnesota Center for Prion Research and Outreach, the Minnesota Robotics Institute, and the Minnesota Nano Center.
Details about the conference can be found on the IIB website: 1st joint workshop on Precision Sensing between the IIB and University of Kiel.
IIB will be hosting two lectures in its Lecture Series on November 14 and 15, 2024:
- The November 14 lecture will be presented by Professor Luigi Ambrosio, Director of Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB-CNR), National Research Council of Italy and Professor Thomas Brown, Professor of Organic and Biological Electronics at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tor Vergata University of Rome.
- The November 15 lecture will be presented by Professor Valentina Benfenati, Neuroscientist from the Institute for Organic Synthesis and Photoreactivity (ISOF-CNR), National Research Council of Italy, Professor Annalisa Convertino from National Research Council of Italy (CNR), and Professor Maria Grazia Raucci Institute of Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials - National Research Council (IPCB-CNR).
These are hybrid events; those attending in person will be able to participate in a lunch after the lecture. Registration and complete information can be found on the IIB website.
