Interdisciplinary experts from the University of Minnesota discuss spatial science in a new book, Building the Spatial University: Spatial Thinking, Learning, and Service Throughout the System (link: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-030-92847-6), recently published by Springer. Steven M. Manson (Professor, Geography, Environment, and Society), Len Kne (Director, U-Spatial), Jane Lindelof (Project Coordinator, U-Spatial) and Brittany Krzyzanowski (Washington University School of Medicine; former U-Spatial Research Assistant) edited the book.

The book contains chapters discussing such topics as the need for spatial infrastructure at institutions and universities, how the University of Minnesota established U-Spatial, and how spatial thinking enhances teaching and research.
