The Spatial Forum is a yearly event highlighting spatial research, teaching, and outreach at the University of Minnesota. This event is free and open to the public and features lighting talks, exhibitor booths, and the Borchert Lecture.

The 2023 Borchert Lecture will be presented by Dr. Nadine Alameh, the Inaugural Executive Director of the Taylor Geospatial Institute. The lecture series was established in 2008 to honor the late John R. Borchert, a Regents Professor in the Department of Geography, Environment and Society and a member of the U.S. National Academy of Science.

Exhibitor booths, networking, and an open house in the new GeoCommons space will take place on the 4th floor of Blegen Hall. The Borchert Lecture and reception will be held in the Research Collaboration Studio at the Wilson Library.
